Showered With Love

The Walker family just had two wonderful baby showers where they boys were able to get some much needed items from caring family and friends. Our family is so grateful for all of the love and support - sometimes it's overwhelming to think about how giving people can be. We want to thank everybody for all of their happy thoughts, prayers, gifts and love. Our family would be lost without all of you behind us.

Also, the boys are now far enough along that they require bi-weekly visits to the doctor where they get poked and measured to make sure they're growing and healthy. Our last check-up went just fine and the boys finally took some nice head shots that we're happy to share.

Two Heads Are Better Than One

The boys got their pictures taken again at 31 weeks. They're growing very well and both around 3 lbs 6 ounces. Dr. Cummings doesn't expect us to get to 36 weeks - actually, he only gives us a 30% chance of making it. So, we'll just have to wait and see what happens. Our angels will arrive soon enough and we can't wait (especially Daddy)!

Also, the sonographer tried to get us a pretty picture of the boys to share, but it seems like they're very crowded in there. Also, they're both head down and facing each other. So, the best picture we have is the top of their heads. Enjoy!

Growing!

We've hit the 30 week mark and "the boys" are growing at a good rate. Their sweet little kicks and punches are much more forceful than they were at first - seems like they're getting stronger by the day.

Right now we're preparing for the holidays which means lots of family visits. The next doctor appointment is December 7th where we hope to get a look at them again. At this point the boys could join us anytime in January between 36 and 40 weeks. So, the countdown begins :)

Moving Along Just Fine

As of Thursday this week we're 24 weeks along. We're just closing in on the last part of the second trimester and Mom is feeling just fine. I've been able to keep my busy work/school activities (with a few extra hours of sleep programmed into my schedule).

I have many people asking to touch my belly because they're finally able to feel the boys kick if they catch them when they're awake. The twins are on a schedule of their own - they sleep most of the time and tend to wake up around 11 a.m. and 11 p.m.

We're still working on names - it's a much harder task than we anticipated. So, we'll keep everybody posted on that progress Also, I've added a picture of the babies and I so everybody can see how big we're getting!

Our Journey Begins

Today Raymond's birthday started with a trip to the doctor's office for a sonogram. We're currently 20 weeks along and we were VERY anxious for our first glimpse at our growing angel.

After seeing many pictures of feet, arms, legs, hands, and other fancy parts the bomb was dropped...we were seeing double of all of those fancy parts because we're having TWIN BOYS!

We're still shocked and in awe. Every hour or so one of us will look to the other and say "we're having twins?!?!" We have no idea what this journey will hold - but we're on our way!
